About The Clubhouse

The Alice Street Clubhouse is a heritage property in Guelph that now hosts a variety of events and activities.

Originally built to house V. Valeriote’s Shoe Repairing Shop the Clubhouse is a one of the few remaining small commercial buildings in the residential section of The Ward.

Rentals

The Alice Street Clubhouse is available to rent for art openings, workshops, community events and more.

Rentals rates are charged on a sliding scale, with priority going to arts, activism, and community based events.

The clubhouse is equipped with heating and a ceiling fan, a projection screen, and a sound system. Seating, tables, extra lights, or a projector can be provided at extra cost as required.

Bad Movie Club

First Thursday of every month, the films start at 8:30 pm.

The Bad Movie Club meets monthly to enjoy cinema's finest garbage. Do you enjoy Troma films, cheesy practical effects, and bad acting? Then you'll love the Bad Movie Club! Greatest hits include Death Spa (1989), Gymkata (1985), Teen Witch (1989), and Hell Comes to Frogtown (1988)

Pay what you can & bring your own snacks.

For mature audiences, viewer discretion is most definitely advised.

Pop Up Coffee & Pastries

Some Saturday Mornings some local folks bake and make coffee for other local folks.
